Light saber room light modification

I got 2 Remote control Light Saber room lights for Christmas. http://unclemilton.com/star_wars_science/#/rc_lightsaber/ I want to mount them crossed, like a crest, but I want them to be operated independently. Both Remotes control both lights. I would like to be able to Change frequency? or something to make the remotes specific for the lights, so they can be changed/turned on and off independently. Any ideas?

lightsabers

i had a thought for making a light saber the other day. if you took a florescent tube light and put it in a tight fiting transparent tube for stregnth and added a handle on one side with a this copper wire runing to the other end then you could make a light saber. no leds just a florecent tubelight. it would glow like a real one and could be wrapped in colored cellophane to produce different colors. it is a totally workable idea and a good one. only problem is that it won't shrink but it still would be pretty cool. the handle could house the tube driver circuit and the batters with a small switch for lighting it up.

Is there a way to lengthen the plastic blade of the basic toy lightsabers (about 12 dollars)?

I like how this particular model retracts all the way into the hilt, but the blade is very short, and in conjunction with my stature it seems even shorter. Holding the toy up to the light I can see that there is a lot of plastic that is behind the other pieces. Is there a way to utilize this and make the blade longer?

Any ideas for what i can do with an empty Star Wars Darth Maul Lightsaber Candy Stick?

Picked one up for under a dollar at Salvos last year, and it's been sitting at the bottom of my wardrobe since. I have yet to open it up, but I reckon it should be completely hollow inside. It's about 33 cm long, 3 cm wide at the emitter heads and about an inch wide around the middle. Also, there is a blade on each end similar in construction to the toys you see in department stores, but only 12cm long. What should I do with it?

File Box for Index Cards

For some time I've been searching on Instructables for how to make a file box for index cards. No matter what word order or word types I used, what came up was making stuff out of index cards, or other odd stuff.  But nothing that got me what I was searching for. How to make a file box for index cards, needs to be basic & simple, not laser cutting (as don't have such). However, do have a box cutter, packing tape, handheld power tools: circular saw, saber saw, drill, just no tabletop tools, & no way to make, & no room to put any tabletop for such. I've looked at the Snap-N-Store collapsible index card file boxes, & have head/read by customer reviews that the snaps don't necessarily stay snapped.  I'm thinking if made w/cardboard or fiberboard (as the Snap-N-Store is) that something like corner brackets/braces (just not metal ones for wood)  can be used instead of snaps, & would hold together better. The Snap-N-Store boxes I'm wanting hold 1000 cards ea, & for ea size of index card 3X5, 4X6, & 5X8 I just need some help for a pattern & building instructions. Can anyone do an Instructable for such so I can follow & make them? Remember, I don't have, nor get access to, nor know how to use a laser cutter, or tabletop powertools. I just have handheld powertools of circular saw, saber saw, drill, & boxcutter, scissors & the usual handtools & hardware. Thanks

The How-Tos That You Do: Instructables Keep People In Step After Step After Step. - Instructables in Helio Mag

Here's an interview I did with Helio Mag in June 2007:The How-Tos That You Do: Instructables Keep People In Step After Step After Step.Perhaps your next door neighbor has an amazing recipe for apple pie, a friend (accidentally) learned how to break any padlock or hack into a university database or, better yet, you know how to make a light saber, and not just any light saber, but a dual-ended one -- la Darth Maul. It would be selfish to keep such priceless information under wraps. While there are numerous places to distribute such how-tos, it's Instructables that has a home for practically all of 'em - from 11 steps to producing an interactive multi-touch display, and building a crowd-stopping invisible bookshelf in nine, to a three-step guide to a cheap, home-made air conditioner. The site was launched in 2006 by the same innovative MIT alums who started Squid Labs, a collective that has developed over-your-head electronics (such as electrospun metallic nanowires and "E-Rope," which made TIME's Best Inventions 2005 list) and good-for the-world projects such as developing affordable eyeglasses for the Third World and custom solar power systems. These days, Instructables has upwards of two million hits a month and is truly a DIY haven where thousands of willing collaborators help each other DIY even better. From the company "control tower" in Alameda, California, Squid Lab's cofounder and Instructables CEO Eric Wilhelm spoke to Helio's Teena Apeles about demystifying processes and how everyone - including Dad - has an Instructable in them.continuedMore news and press about Instructables here.

Protese Auditiva.

Book: Elelctronic Gadgets for the Evil Genius Updated - added a (COMPLETE) Table Of Contents

This book has several high voltage gadgets to build, and if you are familiar with the "evil genius" series, presents a plethora of information on each one.  There are 28 projects in all;  and the front cover also says:  * illustrated instructions & schematics * lists of materials & part suppliers * science & math behind each project The author is Bob Iannini The book cost me $24.95 (USA) new.  It will cost around $3 to ship in the USA, so if anyone feels it is worth about $15-$18 that would be grand; otherwise, make a reasonable offer. I underlined one word in the introduction, but have made no other marks in the book. My reason for selling it is that I do not see any way in the foreseeable future, of me building any of this kind of project. Contact me by way of PM  to work out the details if anyone wishes to purchase it. Thanks ahead of time.    Table of Contents: There are 28 chapters (one for each project)   Chapter One:  Anti-gravity Project   Chapter Two: Low Power Electrockenetic gun   Chapter Three: High Energy Pulser   Chapter Four: Mass Accelerator   Chapter Five: Plasma Thermal gun   Chapter Six: Wire Exploding   Chapter Seven: Magnetic Can Crushing   Chapter Eight: Hand-held Burning CO2 gas LASER   Chapter Nine: Hand-held Burning Diode LASER   Chapter Ten: Long Range Optical LASER   Chapter Eleven: Hand-held Ultrabright Green LASER   Chapter Twelve: LASER  Property protection Fence   Chapter Thirteen: LASER window Listening Device   Chapter Fourteen: 12"  Spark Tesla Coil   Chapter Fifteen: Two inch spark Tesla w/timer   Chapter Sixteen: Tesla Plasma & Ion projects     Chapter Seventeen: Sold State Tesla Coil   Chapter Eighteen: 30 "  Spark Tesla Lightning generator   Chapter Nineteen: Jacob's Ladder   Chapter Twenty: Plasma Tornado Generator   Chapter Twenty one: Plasma Light Saber   Chapter Twenty two: Ion Ray  & Charge gun   Chapter Twenty three: See in the Dark project ( IR night vision)   Chapter Twenty four: Fish stunning & Wormer (brings em to the surface of the ground) project   Chapter Twenty five: EMP Generator   Chapter Twenty six: Ultrasonic Microphone   Chapter Twenty seven: Phaser Pain field gun   Chapter Twenty eight:  Pain field Property protection guard
