Darth Maul LED light saber i was wanting to know from the people who built the Darth Maul LED light saber,if it looked real and if so if you could give me a pic. of it runing and one of it not runing.

I got 2 Remote control Light Saber room lights for Christmas. http://unclemilton.com/star_wars_science/#/rc_lightsaber/ I want to mount them crossed, like a crest, but I want them to be operated independently. Both Remotes control both lights. I would like to be able to Change frequency? or something to make the remotes specific for the lights, so they can be changed/turned on and off independently. Any ideas?

i had a thought for making a light saber the other day. if you took a florescent tube light and put it in a tight fiting transparent tube for stregnth and added a handle on one side with a this copper wire runing to the other end then you could make a light saber. no leds just a florecent tubelight. it would glow like a real one and could be wrapped in colored cellophane to produce different colors. it is a totally workable idea and a good one. only problem is that it won't shrink but it still would be pretty cool. the handle could house the tube driver circuit and the batters with a small switch for lighting it up.

I like how this particular model retracts all the way into the hilt, but the blade is very short, and in conjunction with my stature it seems even shorter. Holding the toy up to the light I can see that there is a lot of plastic that is behind the other pieces. Is there a way to utilize this and make the blade longer?

Hello I am hoping to make a Multi Colour changing Light saber with a Raspberry pi ZeroI found a tutorial on from Mag Pi the Magazine issue 42 about it but it is only a single coloured saber to a degree this has helped me some but I want to add extra features to mine like a rotatry encoder to aid with colour changing and a tri accelometer for its movement pitch for the sounds I am wondering if you would be able to help me I have asked this question in the electronics class and they said about this one coming up soon so I thought now its here I would ask

Picked one up for under a dollar at Salvos last year, and it's been sitting at the bottom of my wardrobe since. I have yet to open it up, but I reckon it should be completely hollow inside. It's about 33 cm long, 3 cm wide at the emitter heads and about an inch wide around the middle. Also, there is a blade on each end similar in construction to the toys you see in department stores, but only 12cm long. What should I do with it?

For some time I've been searching on Instructables for how to make a file box for index cards. No matter what word order or word types I used, what came up was making stuff out of index cards, or other odd stuff. But nothing that got me what I was searching for. How to make a file box for index cards, needs to be basic & simple, not laser cutting (as don't have such). However, do have a box cutter, packing tape, handheld power tools: circular saw, saber saw, drill, just no tabletop tools, & no way to make, & no room to put any tabletop for such. I've looked at the Snap-N-Store collapsible index card file boxes, & have head/read by customer reviews that the snaps don't necessarily stay snapped. I'm thinking if made w/cardboard or fiberboard (as the Snap-N-Store is) that something like corner brackets/braces (just not metal ones for wood) can be used instead of snaps, & would hold together better. The Snap-N-Store boxes I'm wanting hold 1000 cards ea, & for ea size of index card 3X5, 4X6, & 5X8 I just need some help for a pattern & building instructions. Can anyone do an Instructable for such so I can follow & make them? Remember, I don't have, nor get access to, nor know how to use a laser cutter, or tabletop powertools. I just have handheld powertools of circular saw, saber saw, drill, & boxcutter, scissors & the usual handtools & hardware. Thanks
