Hey, I have a bit of time on my hands and I plan on spending some of that casually making money. I've figured that making and selling crafts would be the best way to go about that, all while incorporating something I enjoy: crafts. Do you have any ideas of easy-to-make items which I can sell on eBay? So far, I'm considering candles and candle holders. Thanks!

I am planning to sell this car within a month, but if I can't I would like to do something creative with it, like cut the roof off /demolition derby/something of the like. But I was wondering if anyone on instructables has an idea of what I could do to it. I've been looking at mutant/art cars from Burning Man, and wondering about an armored car or something.. BTW, the car is for sale, $500. Any takers?

I was wondering if anyone though that people would buy this if I sold it on EBAY. https://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Light-Module-for-Your-PC/ I would be selling the completed product. I am doing this to try to earn some money by building small electronics projects and selling them through EBAY. I am not trying to advertise I just wondered what people thought.

I want to sell my knex in time for christmas to put it towards a Christmas present (GTX 590) and I have pretty much dead on 30 kgs. I was looking on ebay and the average price seemed to be about £10 per kilo. I think £300 seems a bit too much so I was thinking in the region of somewhere around £250. This is just my opinion but I want yours.

By this i don't mean a horrible ebay store, just a separate site. One where us geeks, art and green freaks can auction off or sell the stuff we make or own. Ya know like ebay used to be....ahh good times...good times. But seriously, would you? Because i have a domain i paid 3yrs in advance only to find out that they don't allow...adult themes....some jerk waits until a few of us run a site for a couple of weeks, then decide to update the new TOS(POS really) but auctions and stores are completely ok. so come in and let me know, should i start something like this or not? I have a template started so far. just need the green light to go. :)

Looking thru all of the cool projects here, it seems like there are too many projects that took tons of effort, sitting in attics. Or they're being used by the project designer, but no-one else can benefit from the designer's hard work. A lot of people would love to try some of the projects you've come up with, but they're not sure where to start. Here's what I'm proposing;- I'll keep a stock of the most useful components (passives, IC's, etc). I'll also keep stock of several 'generic' project PCB's.-You come up with a cool project using these components, Or modify a project you've already done. Once you've got it done, send me your source code / design and a Howto.-I'll publish your projects on my site, and I'll market my site to drive hobbyists. I'll spend real money marketing it, driving traffic so that thousands of folks will visit and check out your projects. Here's the best part; If a visitor thinks your project is cool, they can order the materials to build it. I'll take care of shipping, inventory, payment processing, etc, and I'll share the revenue with the project designer. Imagine if your hobby paid some bills instead of making them! And all you have to do is write up a 2 or 3 page 'How I did it' and share your code.HOW TO GET INVOLVEDI need to do a fair number of things on the business side, so I won't be ready to launch for 2-3 months. Before I can launch, though, I need to figure out what the inventory of components should be. There are two ways to get involved;IF YOU HAVE A PROJECTGo to the website and submit a brief description and a Bill of Materials (BOM). The BOM is the most important. Once I've collected enough BOM's, I'll build an initial component inventory for projects. Try to be thorough with the BOM (Everything but solder). Your project doesn't need to be done (or even started), but if you share your project now, you'll get priority listing when the site is launched.IF YOU WANT TO SEE A PROJECT AVAILABLEVisit the website and drop me a note. I'll collect project ideas and see if any designer are interested building it (or chase down a designer who already did).My goal is to let other folks enjoy your awesome projects and appreciate your work. You'll also be able to make some money with your hobby, too. All feedback is appreciated! To get you thinking, a few projects I've seen around or think people might find cool; 'IRC client in an altoids tin', Music Visualizer, C64 wiimote baseball bat, LED stock ticker, Homemade portable MP3 player, POV clock / 3d display, Guitar Hero kit, LED lighting system, 3d printer, Parking assistant, SIM card reader, Metal detector, GPS logger / tracker, Balancing Robot, Remote Camera recorder, PS/2 Keylogger... Whatever! At this point, I don't need completed projects, just an idea of what they are and the Bill of Materials. The only way to make this project viable is to limit the inventory depth. By submitting projects now, I'll be able to build an inventory that will best support your ideas. The website is www.gadgetgangster.com. Thanks in advance,Nick

Hey Everyone! It's been a while, but I've been busy working on a new project called Marketplacr - a site where members of communities can buy/sell goods from/to each other. Think of it as similar to a site like Etsy, except geared towards techy/awesome Instructables users. I thought Instructables users would really enjoy a site like this, so I set up one of the first marketplaces for us. Sign up on the site, list items from your Instructables, and see what other users are selling stuff from their projects. Feel free to let me know about any problems/issues/suggestions/complaints :) http://marketplacr.com/Maker_Market/ And a how-to-use guide: https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Sell-Components-from-your-ProjectsInstruct/

I always have lots of flowers in my allotment garden. Sunflowers, originally from 3 different seed package varieties 5 years ago, come up spontaneously in spring, the seeds spread by birds. I usually collect the seedlings to put them in some rows, for beauty, wind protection and bird/ bee food. This year a large plant came up with double flowers. I have only ever seen small plants with double flowers. I am collecting all old flower heads and will sow these seeds in a small field next year, weed out all non double sunflower plants, and protect them from being pollinated by other, non double plants. So next year I might end up with a big bag of seeds for big double sunflowers! So far so good, but then??? I think many people would love to buy a packet of these seeds, but how to go about? Should I change my pseudonym BobS to BobMonsanto?

Hello, I am starting a non-profit organization and I want to sell electronics kits on the internet but what sort of legal issues would I run into? I'm looking to sell plasma speaker kits, tesla coil kits, other dangerous kits, and some not, etc. I know that you could technically be sued if someone got hurt using something they bought, and what can I do to prevent this. I'm not exactly looking for the, "Buy liability insurance!" answer, I'm looking more for the, "Put a 'I am not responsible for your actions' type thing!" What can I do to be safe, what can I not do to not be safe? Thanks!!!

Hello fellow instructablees! I recently found a cheap product carrying a sender - receiver pair of an Xbee-like module. They transmit on the 2.4gHz range and have a range of 10m. Would it be smart for me to buy the whole stock of these devices and sell them? would you buy it from me and for how much? Thanks EDIT: Just found some extra info on the back of the board. the wireless module has the following pins: -GND -IRQ -MISO -MOSI -SCLK -CS -CE -VCC -OSCO -OSCI perhaps that could make it more usable? The module is from a wii-nunchuck transmitter - receiver pair

Well technically ive already started, but now, ive made enough profits to begin expanding. At the moment i sell 70mw green laser modules (not pointer pens), carbon graphite rods 5/7/10mm wide at any length and from time to time i try and get rid off my liquid a$$ stink spray, though people tend not to buy that as postage is $6, and lastly long range, but very cheap, 433mhz receiver transmitter pairs . All of this , from within australia, i plan on selling things which are awsome, as well as generally inaccessible by many australians. Currently i intent to buy up 6v spark gap ignitors , identical to those on sparkfun, different coloured laser modules, titanium to weld to my MMO anode mesht cuts, more wireless receiver/transmitter pairs, though, this time, toggle/momentary ones, currently my ones are latching, i plan on buying small shockers, and lastly, Nitrates, Aluminium powder, sulfur, and all those chems which are so hard to find in australia. Also, i will start buying more, and in larger amounts, thermochromic pigment. I also plan on building DC-DC HV converters, for charging coil gun capacitors, (based on the instructable of the same name, once i get permission to use the schematic to base my design off to sell), small shocker modules (to make taser things from), Various oscillators, like flyback ones, 3D printing services and 1W regulated 808nm burner modules. Now, ever since i discovered the spark gap ignitor wholesaler, ive been thinking, "what else could i sell thats awsome and hard to come by?", but legal too, this is ebay after all. I would really like some help in finding things which arent especially expensive or big (im not buying stuff which costs like $100 a peice), but also things you would like to see sold in your local gadget stores. Really, just anything in this general catagory, stuff which is really awsome or very hard to get, either in australia or anywhere, but not illegal. like novelty gadgets, or things which do amazing things, such as mini spy cam bugs or something. I really need help, i know what kind of things I LIKE, and want, but not what others like and want. please help me out!

Let's say for the sake of argument, I just created a prototype device using Arduino and other components required to make it work, but I want to make it cheaper and commercially available using fewer or different parts. Where could I start in finding what I need to make it work? What steps should I take to simplify my device? EDIT: Preferably without using the Arduino.

Hey all. I've been modifying nerf blasters for about 2 years now, and would like to make my services availbable to everyone. From integrations to breeches, you can find it here. I'll be willing to modify the following (to a certain extent on some blasters): Nightfinder Maverick Big Bad Bow Longshot Recon Switchshot Airtech 2000 Titan Scout My contracts will consist of a blaster that you send (or the money FOR the blaster and service). I will then perform the modification and send it back to you. Or, we can discuss the type of blaster you're looking for, make it a suprise, THEN talk prices. http://s588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/?action=view¤t=Movie.flv http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/CopyofCopyofNerfCrap005.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/Image-22.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/Image-19.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/IMG_5534.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/Image-1.jpg http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/homasimpson/Image.jpg Copy and paste those links into your browser, they're pictures but I don't know how to attatch them. Hey again, those of you in the internet world. I am a maker in high school, and have been wondering how makers can make money. I have repeatedly been asked if someone could buy something off me (usually an ipod charger/etc), but I somehow feel that I am cheating them or ripping them off (if I tell them a price high enough to make a profit). Let me say now, I am not huge on actually talking to people :) so making a deal to sell something or actively seeking out people to make deals with is hard. I guess thats the price to pay for being antisocial :D One kid I know, and it makes me so mad because he is really good at it, managed to basically sell laser pointers to 50% of the kids at school for a 100% profit on each one..... Another problem I have run into is that of rights- for example if I take a design off of online, or generally instructables, and then make it and sell it, I feel as if I took some money away from the person who posted that idea. So anyone have any tips for a kid in high school trying to make some $$ on the side? I could make a business of of fixing ipod screens but I tried once and ended up having to buy a whole new ipod for a kid because I accidentally clipped a cable whole disassembling.
