Hi. am finding a best solution for my design. look at drawing. there is 4 bars. about 2~3cm long each. their tip is holden on something in middle. when you pull up right black bar, right gold one will pulled down. "in same degree." when you pull down left gold bar, left black one will pulled up. "in same degree." likewise when you pull up two black bar, two gold bars will pulled down. "in same degree." its not just a normal hinge cause their move will interactive.15 degree up - 15 degree down. what can be a best (simple, durable, hard) solution?

Ive read alot about etching ur own PCB's and might start on it sooner or later, but i wanted to know, can u just trow away used solution down the drain. i wondered about this since it eats away copper, and some pipelines are made out of copper... and isnt it to chemical to trow away (like batteries and other electronics) normally...

As far as I have noticed, the bug is activated when a colon is in the text. I had errors many times when making image notes - and I tested in three different browsers (where the error just looked different). But only in texts that included a colon. Each time I removed colon from text: no error. It might be the same for other special characters. Hope it helps :)

I was recently alerted to Fixperts.org. It's a fascinating concept - "real" designers get paired with folk with actual, unsolved problems (typically related to a mobility issue), and produce bespoke solutions, making a nice little video in the process. Introduction to Fixperts from Billo on Vimeo. It's mainly a UK thing at the moment (some of the folk from Sugru are involved, although it's not a Sugru scheme), but there's nothing stopping you, dear reader, starting up something similar through your own school, college or Hackspace. There are even guidelines on the site on how to join in. I've been told of companies that make bespoke prosthetics, or connect problems to solutions, but this is the first voluntary group I've encountered that drags Design out of the showroom or gallery, directly to those who actually need these skills now. I'm going to keep an eye on Fixperts, and I think you ought to as well... @Fixperts

I had asked 2 questions about my 6 weeks during computer problem:' is Windows 7 That Bad??', and 'help'... Windows XP seemed to get slow and somewhat erratic, so instead of re-installing XP, I installed the 64b version of W7 ultimate, downloaded as 'freeware'. It was a chore to install, and much of my hardware was not recognized (no network port (= internet), only generic CD ROM instead of DVDRW, etc.). Problems shutting down, and SLOOOOWWW. So after a while, I re-installed my trusted XP, but things did not get better (at all!). This was not normal! Since my HDDs came on and off, I figured it ought to be the motherboard. It always (2 1/2 years) worked fine, but after some internet search (I also do have a laptop), it seemed to be one of the worst MBs ever made... But a spare laptop HDD got fried instantly (motor+ is dead)... So I ordered a new one: A nice old fat Asrock, with 4 memory slots, and 7.1 sound. It lasted 4 hours... No more picture, not by the board, not by the added card... By warranty, the MB might have been bad, so I got the replacement. But I did not trust my TRUST power supply anymore. So I bought a new 500 GB HDD and new (Cooler master 460 W power supply). Everything was wired up, Windows 7 installed, and it runs great!!! The laptop disk is dead, but my old system disk is most often recognized... There was still a lot of important, non backed up data on it (!). I was able to secure all of it!!! So my conclusion is: it probably was the power supply: don't trust TRUST!!!

First of all, I would just want to say that I have procured this advice from my own personal experience. This is what I do. Tip 1- STOP DRINKING COFFEE! It's amazing how the people who buy bladder control medicine are the same people who drink coffee, which contains a substance known as caffeine. Caffeine does give you that 5 second energy perk, but then this is followed by you taking a piss in the toilet ever 20 minutes because it's a diuretic substance. And at this point I am not just talking about coffee either. Most sodas contain quite a bit of caffeine as well. Tip 2- Drink less water. I know how people need water to survive, but I am not saying to stop drinking water, I am just saying to reduce your watery intake. I was sick with Swine flu a few weeks back, so my mom forced me to drink gallons of water each day. I ended up having to get out of bed every 30 minutes to use the bathroom, and this ruined the whole resting pattern. I'm just sick of seeing so many advertisements about bladder control medicine. I don't care, just get back to that awesome show I was watching! Help boycott bladder control medicine and get those advertisers to shut the heck up. (Unless of course you have a real medical condition and for some reason more bathroom use is a side effect, then none of this applies to you)

In my enameling work, I sometimes use a mild homemade pickling solution to remove firescale (cupric oxide) from copper. The pickle is a saturated solution of white vinegar and kosher salt, kept hot in a Crock Pot. After heating the copper pieces in a kiln, a layer of cupric oxide forms on the surface, which is then dissolved in the salt/vinegar solution. After a while, the solution turns a lovely blue color from the dissolved copper. If I forget to put the lid on the pot, eventually the solution evaporates, leaving pretty blue crystals that look a bit like copper sulfate. So, what have I got here? I don't want to just dump it due to the copper content. I'd like to figure out something to do with it, but first I need to know what it is. I'm thinking it might make a good electroplating solution, but that's just a guess.

Ok, I am having difficulties recently with FireFox (I am using FLOCK because of this). I click on the ShortCut and the home page loads (here of course), but as soon as most of the page loads, it shuts down, and then prompts me to send FF an error report. Yesterday was the first I noticed this. This morning, I backed up a day using the setting restore, but nothing changed. Has anyone else experienced recent problems with their upgrade or anything?

The quad-cube is four 2x2 cubes stuck corner to corner. I have not been able to find any instructions or algorithms on how to solve one. Whenever I try to use 2x2 algorithms there is one corner that doesn't match up. Making an instructable on this would be a great idea too because it's the 30th anniversary of Rubik's cubes.

Hi guys I just got a smart case (not Smart Cover) for my iPad. It's awesome and it's pretty convenient. But the problem is, the edges of the case are too sharp and this makes it VERY difficult and painful to hold for long durations. I was kinda hoping you guys could come up with some interesting and easy DIY solution for this. Other people just tell me to get a new case. I simply can't afford one. I'm willing to try anything. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks in advance guys. :D

I eared many things about hho generator but some say it is better to use "solution recipes" (electrolyte) instead of "conditioned distilled water" . I'd like to know more about conditioning distilled water . I need your help on this one ! I plan to use rectified high voltage for 2 dry cells . 8" by 8" 16 plates each using microwave parts but I can't figure the minimal input if coming form 12 volts batteries and car alternator . I bet I'll need a converter from car DC to H/V transformer and I have no idea how to make it a reality Use the best of your knowledge to answer !!! Instructive and useful links are welcome ... Thanks !

Frequent power cut during the summer and hours of no power issue during the monsoon makes our lives miserable. It's a common picture in rural areas where the overhead power line connection is prevalent. This led me to think about an alternative power back up that would be way better than the conventional LA or SLA battery solutions. With the constant advancement in the technology, new dimensions are being unfolded to us and I believe, the powerful Headway 38120 batteries are going to reign in the market for quite sometime. I need help from the experts to build a 5kwa Power Wall using Headway 38130 LifePo4 cells and an Inverter too. The parameters are: Output Voltage: 230v, Max Load: >500wh (I'm looking for 10hrs bkp= 5kwh), I'm clueless about how many cells I might need and how many of them will be in series and in parallel connection. Do I need a custom built charger for these LifePo4 cells and BMS too? Please help me up.

Does synthesizing Sodium Chlorate NaCl03 produce any harmful fumes if i electrolyize the solution while it is hot? I saw on wiki if you heat the solution while electroyzing the solution the reaction is NaCl + 3H2O = NaClO3 + 3H2 but if it isnt hot the reaction is 2NaCl + H2O = NaClO + NaCl + H2O , NaClO (Sodium hypochlorite) is what is used in household bleach. DOES THE SAFE VERSION PRODUCE CHLORINE FUMES?

Sodium chlorate production without the need of keeping the solution at around 50-70°C from the electrical power used for electrolysis? sodium chlorate production besides having to heat from amperage the sodium chloride solution and electrolysis then would a catalysis to help with oxygenating the solution like instead of water use 3% hydrogen peroxide or manganese dioxide or ever ammonium nitrate and yield sodium chlorate using electralysis with out needing to keep the solution at 50-70°C?

It would be great to playback MIDI files as Control Voltages via the USB port. Any suggestions or possibly any already viable solution? I know there is a similar arduino project, as well as several MIDI-to-CV converters, but it would seem to be pretty straightforward to convert MIDI to Control Voltages output through USB. Any thoughts on the subject? Any existing solution? I seem to remember seeing a commercial product for this, but a homebrew version would certainly be welcome.
