I am trying to design a t-shirt cannon that can shoot at least twice with one pump of the tank. I have a two tank design with ball valves for each tank, but the system is too complicated to explain to school officials. Is there a better design?

I just uploaded 200MB of images for a new instructable, and I can't find them in "my library" or anywhere else for that matter. I used the new uploader, and I'm in Firefox 3.0.6 using no funny plugins. (no dragdrop or anything.) I've waited several minutes, since I figured there might be a delay for thumbnail generation or something, but I just can't find the images anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I am looking to make 3 LED's flash at different time intervals. It doesn't matter in what order they flash. I have little to no experience in electrical, but am willing to give it a shot. Can someone please tell me what I would need to get in order to make this happen? Also, a circuit diagram would be good if anyone has one. Thanks.

I need to stucco an exterior masonry block wall
After making my first few electronics projects I've learned that I really should get I multimeter so I don't screw everything up. So I've been looking around a bit and there's a lot of choices out there and I don't really know what features I should be looking for except I do know I want to get one that can read loads up to 4 to 5 amps (or maybe even more). I only want to spend around $30-$60. I found this one on amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000JQ4O2U/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=AMH4W1K8OCGMX&v=glance does this look like a good one?

I was watching deconstructed and watched the episode on transformers and toasters and i was thinking...can i use a toaster to heat a peice of metal to red hot? The episode says voltage is passed through a high resistance nickel/chome alloy that produes high heat (over 1000 degrees farenheit). Is there a way to hack a toaster to heat a peice of steel or such to a high heat using a toaster?

Can I take 20+, 12V DC Pre Wired 5mm LED Lamp's, put them in my garden lights and use a 12v car battery to power them?
I have a question, can I take 12V DC white Pre Wired 5mm LED Lamp and put them in my garden light housings, and run 20 of them in a row using the same wiring I have in the ground already? (the low voltage system uses 20, 4 watt bulbs rite now,) I would like to remove the transformer and run the LED's using my battery back ( 10, trojan T-105's, 12v setup) I have for my solar panel system. Thanks.

The last Friday of the month is a build day around Instructables HQ. I've been meaning to create some art involving gears of different pitches, so I took part of my build day to do a study in gears. These are two laser-cut acrylic gears I made on our Epilog 36EXT that are half 10 in pitch diameter and half 20 in pitch diameter. I advanced the 20 pitch side about one-half of a pitch. The gears were designed in OMAX Layout, which just happens to have a nice gear profile generator. I'm hopeful about putting together a set that gradually change pitch diameter. There's a bit of slop between the gears, and I'm taking advantage of it (at least in this set) to keep the teeth from colliding at the transition. They only rotate freely in one direction; in the other they bind.

A new feature deployed recently checks the URLs we put inside comments (i.e., the first token inside square brackets) and reports if we haven't given a valid URL.The annoying bug is that the whole preview is suppressed, and there is no indication of where in the text the error might be. Briefly, the preview actually showed the whole text, but with the error part called out in big red box. That was better, and would be nice to get back.Failing that, maybe just putting the malformed URL into the preview as a literal string, highlighted or underlined or something might be helpful.

I have 2 horses and have composted their manure since I've had them (5 years) but have always had to shovel it into a small wagon and spread it with the shovel and rake. It gets pretty tiring. I thought maybe a wheel driven type? I'm not very mechanical, but if someone can help me out with this I would be sooooooo greatful!

Hi, Thanks for stopping by! I would like to do a large (2m2) outdoor papier-mache project. Essentially it's a large plant holder display and so would need to hold about 25lbs in weight and be able for me to water the pot plants it will hold. These are my concerns, and I would seriously appreciate some advice if you can: - How do I waterproof the whole thing? I was hoping to use strong wallpaper paste and then seal it with about 3 coats of oil-based paint like eggshell. The other worry I have is where I cut holes into the papier-mache there will then be an unsealed exposed edge where water could get in a separate the layers: I don't feel that paint would be sufficient for such thin areas/egdes...what would you do? Again, thanks for reading me, please help if you can. Kevin
