Adding tags to already-uploaded pictures Answered

Is there a way of adding tags to an already-uploaded picture? I have a few instructables, and I hadn't bothered to tag the pictures I uploaded to include in them, and now there are getting to be enough that it's hard to find the one I want. Can I add a tag to a picture that has already been uploaded? How?

  • Go to your Library
  • Click on a pic
  • Click on "+ Add keywords"
  • Enter keywords in text entry box that appears. Use quotes if keyword contains a space. You can enter multiple keywords at one time by using commas as delimiters.
  • Hit Enter

Thanks for making me look at it again - although that option appears to be grayed-out (unavailable) it does work.

. Por nada, mon ami. . IIRC, there used to be a dropdown menu for each pic in the library (where the delete btn is now) and one of the options was to edit the keywords. Maybe I just dreamed that.

Mind, you still have to find the things to tag them. Like I said before, it's only when you're trying to get one out of 600+ that you wish you'd actually used tags in the first place. Maybe I'll learn?

I'd only every gone into my library from the instructables editor, and from there I have the choice of adding the image to the instructable, I don't have the option of eding the image metainformation. When I use the quick-links to go to my library directly, I can select an image and see the options you've discussed. The problem is that when I go into the library directly, I can't tell where the images are being used. What I want to do is to tag the images used by a particular instructable, by step, so that I can search my library to find all the images associated with a particular instructable or a particular step of an instructable. It'd be easier if I could edit the tags on an image, from where it appears in an instructable, than having to find it in the library.

I asked myself the same question, but didn't find a way to do it. It's only when you're trying to fine one out of 600+ that you wish you'd actually used tags in the first place...
