Advertising Instructables Answered

Next week is my school's annual "Activities Week". On Tuesday, I'll be taking thirty kids paint-balling, but for the rest of the week I'll be making my Paper Catapult with my groups, and using Heed as a target (they're going to try and knock his head off).

Because the kids keep asking me where I get my stuff from, I will be displaying adverts for this site all week (I usually have one stuck in the window of my lab door, but this one will be copied up to A3 and stuck on the wall over the instructions display).

I thought you'd like it, maybe to put up a version at work, in your neighbourhood or at school. It's only a Word document, but it does the trick.

Paint-balling, eh...

(Shameless plug)
They might like this.

It's unpublished though, still working on it.

Looks good - you could fill it with something more staining and use it to mark burglars who sneak in your back garden.

But you should seriously, you know, use that one. Much nicer, in my opinion. It will draw more students to this site. Definitely.

Or perhaps it would just force them away...

If they have a cartridge why not just refill them... Even dried up cartridges can be brought back to life, just run the print head under hot water and if it's really bad get a elastic band and secure a damp cloth to it for a few days (( distilled water is best for this and toss it in a plastic bag.. Then refill it and run a few self clean cycles and it should be working again...... and if you can't find ink you can use any water based food coloring.. be creative they will print just about anything ......

Hit up a recycling depot there is so many color printers, mostly inkjets but I've found one HP, one Samsung, and two Textron color lasers, all with toner and the HP only need a small adjustment to make it work and samsung had a broke USB plug in but the LPT works.. But the color inkjets at the place by me, you'd need a 53 foot trailer to haul them all away.... This is what happens when it's cheaper to buy a new printer with ink then it is to buy a new ink cartage.....

Something I have wanted to do: Go to Costco (The best place to find cardboard boxes if you ask me, it's worth the drive...) Get some cardboard. Print an Ibles flier. Make copies of said flier. Paste said copies on to cardboard. Put these ads around town, in walls and trees and stuff.
