Any ideas on resuseing fast food cups? Answered

While driving to work a used McD's cup sitting in my cup hold got me to thinking.  I was wondering if anyone has thought about a way to reuse the wax coated card/paper drink cups you get from fast food places?  People are always thowing them out and if we could come up with a way to get people to reuse them in some way, it might help the sides of the roads look better (less trash).

Check out the stuff on making big geometric balls out of cups, you could adapt to these... Print instructions on the sides of the cups...

Actually any other uses for the cups, printing the instructions on the side would be a great way to make them instantly more recyclable since people wouldn't have to originate their own idea, rather than chuck them out the window, which is a nasty habit, which should really become more unacceptable in a social sense.

I once saw a pattern for making a kite out of them (seriously - they were cut into sections that formed wings), but I'm blowed if I can find it now...

For the most part they are serving the last use.  They are already made of recycled paper so they've already had more than one use.

I agree that they should not be littering the landscape though.

They are still recyclable.

They are good for holding parts temporarily while you disassemble something.

THey can be used to hold paint while you do touch up work.

THey are not useful to practice cup stacking since they are not regulation stacking cups.

You can make "green" phones with them, though somewhat limited in features.

I used to have a carpenter that worked for me who kept three or four of them in his truck so he would have something to spit his tobacco juice in while he was driving.
If you take up dipping snuff, you'll be all set.

Twisted up tightly, they make excellent campfire starters. That's all I got, though.
