Any suggestions how to make a super hero cape without sewing? Answered

I saw one online with using a t-shirt, which I liked, but couldnt quite "picture" how to cut it.

Buy a cheap skirt from a charity store.

Open up the seam that connects to the zip. Remove all.

Then use the waistband button and hole to fasten around the neck.

For something like that, you can use fabric glue for hems.  I made curtains like that once.  You can get iron-on hem tape also.

For costuming purposes, hot glue also works. It may not stand up to laundering, but it's a quick way to bodge something together.

Cut off both the sleeves at the seam line.
Cut from the bottom center of the arm holes all the way down.
Cut along the shoulder seams from the arm hole up to - but not through - the neck binding.
Cut along the seam attaching the neck binding to the front half of the shirt. Do not cut the back half of the shirt.
This will leave you with the back of a T-shirt attached to a loop of neck binding tape. If you squint at it just right, it will look like a cape.
Put the loop over your head.

WARNING: This cape does not give the wearer the ability to fly, and crimefighting should be left to the police.

Towels or blankets work well last time I tried.
