New World Symphony in places.
(I didn't much like it, not my flavour) - your return-favour is Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

This piece, entitled The Lion's Roar, is from the albumn by Trans Siberian Orchestra: "Night Castle".

It was just what I was inspired to post as a picture, actually. I am not sure why...

Ok, sorry I missed that resource. None of those sound "familial" as far as title's go however.....must be my overactive imagination playing tricks on me again I suppose.

It sounds like the passing of a military soldier bugle goodby.
I used to be in military school and hear practice.

Bits and pieces seem oddly familiar, but nothing I can put my finger on. One of the twinkids said one bit reminded her of a scene in Rocky Horror, but it didn't to me.

I am still trying to place where I might have heard it....

I surrender, don't know.

For me, the best of this group is Wizards in winter. And this video (there are several) using that music is awesome.

Because I listen mostly to classical works, I was hoping that it's familiarity would spark someone to remember where I might have heard this piece before.

As for TSO: I LOVE their Beethoven's Last Night cd. . .

I guess I should have been more specific:  it sounds "familiar to me (and since I listen to a lot of classical music, that would be were I would most likely recognize if from):  still I can't place it.

Yes, it says that right on the link :-) I just wondered if anyone found it sounding like a classical or classical-like work.

I asked the other twinkid and she was ohh, where do I know that from, but she couldn't put her finger on it either.
