Are there any LED blinking applications? Answered

Are there any things you can use on a computer (Mac), that can blink LEDs to music through USB?

You know you can do that with simple analog circuitry, right? Websearch "LED color organ".

If you're talking about making complicated patterns that move to the music -- that's basically a matter of writing the animation program, then using a software version of those filters to feed the parameters controlling it.  Same thing that the better "visualization" tools do in music players, but driving an LED array rather than pixels on screen. In fact, if you can find source code for some of those, it might be a good starting point -- I suspect there are examples out there somewhere on the web. If not, look for an introduction to digital signal processing.

You can buy blinking LEDs. Just connect them up with the necessery resistor to a usb cable that you've pulled the - and + wire out of.
