Are your pictures of a bevel and a mitre not in reverse?
It's confusing and sometimes used interchangeably, relying more on context to get the idea across than exact terminology. That said, I think I have them right in this lesson.
Whatever you call them, they are two different types of cuts and the skills in this lesson help learn how to make them correctly and consistently. As with all skills, practise makes perfect! :)
