Is that on the website somewhere? Ha!

There will be a large robot demo area and a whole livingroom worth of robotic furnisher, but robot rodeo? Not sure what's planned there.

That'd be interesting, do you mean a robotic bull, cowboy(cowgirl), or both?

I meant a whole herd of cattle.

You would like to see the Calgary Stampede, or a robot rodeo? Kiteman was only joking about the robot aspect of the rodeo.

Calgary is somewhat famous for it's annual Calgary Stampede which does feature rodeos, but with livestock, not robots. It also features a large ammusement park, and many embarrassingly cowboy themed features and entertainment. CalgaryStampede.com

Calgary Mini Maker Faire on the other hand is a new event with last weekend (September 8th, 2012) being the first year for the event in our city. Photos Here. This event is based on the O'reilly Media Maker Faire events like the one taking place in New York City later this month (September 29 & 30). MakerFaire.com

New to our city next year however will be something called Beakerhead which is like a cross between the Stampede and Maker Faire. Check it out here: Beakerhead.org

Hope that helps clarify things. :)

It's ok. better to over educate someone than not even try.

We're looking for some unique entries for the 2013 Calgary Mini Maker Faire. You could totally organize a Robot Rodeo. It would certainly get the attention. :) That would be as fun as it is cheesy.

I don't think I have the skill or money to do such a thing, sorry.
