Can I put Amazon Affiliate link in "Things required" list of my Instructable ?
Yes, many users including staff use affiliate links. Keep in mind to only link to relevant products used in the Instructable and you should be fine. For more information, please read the Featuring Guidelines here: https://www.instructables.com/topics/Featuring-Checklist/

Do the FTC's rules for statements disclosing business relationships, previous to links to retailers, apply to affiliate links written into instructables, here on Instructables(r)?https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/ftcs-endorsement-guides-what-people-are-asking#affiliateornetworkBy the way, if you have not heard of the FTC (Federal Trade Commision), this is one of the tentacles of the FUS, the former United States government.I think the link I provided jumps right to the section titled, "What about affiliate or network marketing?" If it does not, the I guess, a Ctrl-F for the word "affiliate" would take you to the same place.Or is the official policy of Instructables(r) to just ignore the FTC; i.e. those are their rules, not ours.
I know amazon at least expects people to disclose when they use affiliate links, and several authors do so.
I suppose there is some comfort in Amazon advising, expecting, people to have a disclosure statement before these links, since Amazon is responsible for so much of the affiliate linking game out there.
