Can plastics be coated with a metal? (Like electroplating)? Answered

Hi, exist another type for electroplating plastics, is coating the plastic surface with an electroconductive product. Many substances come from Ag, Cu, Graphyte, etc. (find out Google for conductive adhesives). I hope to know about a DIY adhesive electro conductive too. Regards.

Yes.

Vapour deposition is how its done. Mylar for example is drawn out and under high vacuum (not readily achievable without proper and fairly expensive equipment) the metals are deposited by PVD. Very fun field of study if you have the resources to buy, borrow, or build your own setup.
