Can someone design a "home soda fountain" that uses 2 liter bottles? Answered

I am wanting to build something like is proposed at the site listed below for my children for Christmas! I have basic skills and can follow directions just don't have time to research supplies (such as spigots, etc.) that are available or to actually brainstorm the idea! That will come when more of the children are older! If someone wants to combine this and actually carbonating your own soda that would be a real treat!!! Thanks to anyone willing to take up the challenge. http://ideas.4brad.com/archives/000148.html

I got the same problem, there s not much info. I have 2m of silicon tubing and i might just try this with a 500mL bottle (bear with me, i wanna be standardized and i use metric. It's more accurate, if you havent tried it) then i can move on to 2L versions.

Could you edit the comment text and put a space between the "html" and the exclamation point? The I'bles text processor doesn't recognize punctuation as not belonging to the URL string :-(

You're quite welcome! This is something relatively new with the editor, which I've been bitten by as well. Thanks for fixing it :-)

Thanks for the effort put into finding these sites. I have looked at all of these. Actually I am more interested at this point in finding a way to make a "kid cool" dispenser. I did see the "Turning a Toy into a Kegerator Bar Gun" which is what really sparked my search. I have searched all over the net for the toy mentioned in this "ible" and haven't been successful. If someone knows where to get this toy or something similar that would work ...... Again, thanks for taking the time to respond!

It wasn't much effort, knowing these were there I used the search function upper right. Doing the same with what you asked for turned up this (which I saw previously but didn't realise you were wanting)

Thanks again....The "ible" you mention "Turning a toy........." is the one I found that sparked this question. I have searched everywhere I can possibly think of and then a few more to find this toy or something like it. That search lead to finding the "Brad" site. The idea he mentions sounds like it has merit I just don't know enough to design it. Following directions after someone else does is another matter..... Thus my question here where there are so many folks who know lots more than me! Thanks again and if you have any other ideas I will be very eager to know!

This is the "ible" that sparked my search for more info! I haven't been able to find this toy or anything similar. If someone knows how to make something like this without the toy.... Thanks again for the effort to answer my question!

The trailing exclamation point got incorporated into the URL by I'bles' text processor. Try http://ideas.4brad.com/archives/000148.html instead.
