Cannot Edit Existing Instructables and Forum Topics Answered

We launched a new WYSIWYG editor last night.  While we translate all the existing text on the site into the new editor's format, you can't edit old Instructables and forum topics.  We thought we'd have this taken care of by morning, but it's not done yet.  Sorry!  It will be fixed soon.

I agree with lebowski's announcement (which ought to be flagged as a top-comment).  This problem appears to be fixed.

It's even worse than that, Eric.  I stupidly went to one of our I'bles (the now-obsolete Text Formatting one) to see whether this was fixed yet.  It turns out that trying to edit doesn't give any sort of error or warning message, but it throws away (yuck.  Why can't I just type the markup?) all of the text!

Could you/Rachel/somebody temporarily just disable the edit capability until this is fixed?

We're working on the problem. If there are any Instructables that get blanked out, we'll revert them after we have the fix in place.

Thanks!  Good luck, eh?  The raw HTML access may sell me on the new editor....

This has been fixed. Please let me know if you notice anything else out of the ordinary.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. In the mean time, could you restore the intro text for <a href="https://www.instructables.com/id/Instructables_Text_Formatting/">www.instructables.com/id/Instructables_Text_Formatting/</a>? Thanks!<br />
