Can't change email addy Answered

I keep trying to change my email over to a new email account, but it hasn't seemed to work. It says the old account should receive an email, so I can validate it, but the old account hasn't received an email. I tried it last week, and it tried again late last week, and again today.

Am I doing something wrong or is there an additional step?

Hi there, I am just new here so I dont know how it works but I have got the same Autodesk problem, I get the email for a Autodesk validation code to my old company email which I am not able to use any more and I changed my account already to my private gmail email account, still it doesn't reach me! Any thoughts?

They fixed mine when I contacted them directly. They were very nice about it. That was three years ago, so I'm unsure what the process is now, but I'd try to look up someone to contact directly.

i have the same problem... in my setting it said my new email, but i keep receiving mails to my old email account

I've been checking both accounts, and haven't received a validation email to either accounts. :(

. If you are not using Firefox, try it. This site is optimized for FF and some weird problems crop up for those using IE.

I'm having the same issue as well. I never got the validation email either. Still getting instructables mail to my old email address.

What e-mail / where?


The email address that the instructables site uses to send you comment notifications, or messages. Under your account settings, there is a tab called "Change Email". I would like to change the email I get notifications to a new email addy, so I can collapse that account, but I keep following the directions, and my old account is not receiving the validation email. Is there an additional step, or am I missing something?

Wierd, it's not given me a problem before. Is the new e-mail changed on your page and not receiving?

I fill out the new email addy in both spots, and nothing ever happens. I keep waiting for the validation email to go to the old address, but it never happens. Thanks for responding. Here's hoping I can change my email addy. :)
