Can't upload SVG files Answered

Hi,

I'm having some difficulties to upload SVG files to my instructable. It doesn't seem to recognize the file as legitimate. I've converted the file to a PDF which works fine, but I would like to upload the SVG files so everyone can change/adapt the idea.

Any help? I'm using Inkscape.

I'm pretty sure we support SVG files, among a host of others (see this project). Try to limit the file size and try uploading it again.

Can you give me the link to your project and I'll try it from my end.

I think it should upload but the system will give it a different random character name and filetype. If the file appears in your image library, and download it again but rename it to your name.svg, it should be normal. You should note that in your ible since the system only handles a few filetypes transparently.

Thank you for your answer.

No, it does not appear in my image library. I tried to upload it with the old uploader and then it gives me the error:

"CANNOT UPLOAD SCRIPTS"

I don't really understand this.. I've seen .svg-files in other instructables. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I think there is a 10 meg filesize limit. Maybe zip the file and upload? Otherwise the staff should be looking at the bug.
