Every time decide to have a tech toy I would do some researchs or find reviews via google. I've also asked XDA abt my currently Samsung S4 and the extended battery from mpj before paying.

When buying any electronics, I always check them out in the real world, either in a store or borrowing a friend's device, then bug my selection from the best-value supplier, be it online or bricks-and-mortar.

Personally, if you can't find an example of that phone in a store or a friend's pocket to try out, or you can't find decent reviews on a range of websites, then don't buy it.

First of all, your username is awesome. Second of all, random Android devices are like playing the lottery. You might get lucky, but the odds are not in your favor.

You might be better served by trawling discount sites and phone resellers for models/brands that have some support. Warehouse Deals on Amazon, one of those sites like Gazelle that buys phones back, etc. The xda forums might be a good place to check to see if the phone you've found is legit.

Good luck, Doc.
