How does an aspiring taxidermist get on this list, or for that matter any other Brooklyn-based collaborative projects???

there is no list yet, you're the first to show interest. If you're interested in robotics, I'm a member of a new york robotics club, we haven't actually had a first meeting yet, but we're working on it :) send me a private message (https://www.instructables.com/member/leevonk/) with your email address and I'll add you to "the list".

Did you have any project in mind?

One thing that comes to mind is the idiotarod, happening in late january:

It's like the Iditarod in Alaska but with a shopping cart and idiots instead of a sled and an eskimo.

I participated in it last year, I imagine we could make a pretty tricked out shopping cart. One team (cobra team pictured) had a flame throwing cart last year.
