Could I turn my longboard into a 12v DC generator? Answered

I have a ton of left over LED strips left over from when I put some in my car.  If I stick them to the bottom of my longboard, would it be possible to build a few generators to power them from the energy of me going forward?  I know you can make generators from a bicycle, but what about a longboard? Thanks!

Run this against the ground,

You don't need the regulator if you want the LEDs to get brighter as you go faster.

This type generator was used to run incandescent light bulbs so it should be reasonably around 12V.

You got to experiment ,,......

Just need a way to attach a small bike generator to it so it's up against one of the wheels or run a belt from the wheel to the generator. But a bike gen may not be able to generate the power needed. Any gen that would be able to produce the power needed would add a substantial load to the board such that it may not just role down a hill without some effort on your part.
