Could anyone make... Answered

Alright as some of you might have guessed I am trying to organize the knexables community by starting threads to hold all common subjects in one place. This one is where we shall make all our requests. To start it off I desperatly need to know does anyone have/ could make quickly an airsoft speed loader? I tried and well I didn't fail but I didn't get anywhere and I'm tired of trying. I really need a speedloader but at the same time I don't need to spend the money online ( I have none in town) for a cheap piece of plastic when I already have decent pieces of plastic to make stuff with. In fact let's make a competition out of it. Let's see who could make the best Airsoft speedloader out of knex. It would be something that even the knex haters who have knex would find useful and would want to make. Alright these are the things I'd be rating: -Size to Capacity Ratio. Preferably of a small size that can hold at least 120ish -Ease of use. Simple as being able to hold it comfortably and pushing the button or doing whatever you choose we must to do use it. -Reliability. The less we have to worry about the better. It should work without many worries of it failing or leaking. It should also be at least as sturdy as a real one. I'm careful during airsoft battles but I'm also known to do things like rolling dives and stuff because I like showing off so it should be a good prop lol. And remember I'm talking about a good spead loader that loads rounds multiple times not a one-use speed loader.

What kind of clip is it? With my clip all I have to do is slide a slot open and pour them in. Mine is a hi-cap mag though, I'm guessing yours isn't? btw my m4 is 400fps and it'll make you bleed if your any less than 20 feet.Surprisingly it it only stings for a few seconds though.

I bought a Barrett .50, and it was 800 FPS, I got hit with it at like 200 feet, and the BB shattered on my skin...

What type of bb was it? .12g or .20g? Seamless or not? That just doesn't seem right. Was it on bare skin or through clothes or padding? Spring,Co2,green gas,or red gas?

280$, CHEAP for a gun like that. It will go through a phone book at 100 feet.

Well there basically are only 2 types of magazine that I know of. Ones that load from a storage resevoir and then ones that need to be loaded from the top. I have two guns guns each. The pathetic shotgun is the main one I'm worrying about as it's powerful but becuase it's low cap and loaded like that it's basically used once in war then it get's ditched. And then I'm thinking of getting a Well MP7 soon which needs to be loaded on top too and I definently plan to use that a lot.

Um people could we get back on track? Stop using my thread for an airsoft topic and go post one for yourselves somewhere else.

Well I made one. I'm not sure if it will work because I still have to tape it up so that it doesn't leak (something I was really hoping I didn't need to do) It's nice an compact. The only problem is I'm sure it won't hold anymore than 50 bbs or so and I think it will only load like 3-4 at a time which I guess helps when being precise. If it turns out well I'll post it and then even the knex haters will have a reason to make something out of knex.

Does anyone have a good grenade that is not just a bunch a bunch of connectors stuck together?

Uh you could try IaC's war bomb. A little big but it appears to have a lot of srapnel. Or I'm going to update my X8D Suplody to be a more compact weapon. The D splodies I made are decent for their size. They have as much shrapnel as you load up in spacers so if you use all blue spacers you can have up to at least 8 pieces of shrapnel for the smallest you can make it. I forgot who but someone made a compact grenade that packed 3 splodies sort of like mine together using 2 groups of three red connectors on a white rod alternating.

i have a idea use a gray rod fill it all up withgray on slot connectors and on the very end put a u joint and load them in and then put a gray rod with a orange connecter on it the get rubber band and use that for the presure you wont get the capacity you requested though

I've already made one like this. It was long and could only hold so much and that's why I want like a real speadloader. I'd rather carry something more compact than a stick although it would fit somehwere well it probably wouldn't work in my pocket or pouch.

Too bad. Pretty fun. It's about the best compromise you can get between power/range and safetey. Not to mention there are a lot of realistic guns for airsoft but not too many for paintball (which stings. No you're not proving anything by playing it. There's a difference between taking it and being tough and just being stupid for using that as your only reason for not doing airsoft instead) Do you think there is some way you could still at least try it and improvise some sort of 6mm object to fill it with to test?

Airsoft doesn't hurt to be shot with?

TheDunkis (author)Oompa-Loompa2008-10-02

Only sometimes. If you're wearing a T-shirt and shorts then yeah eventually you're going to receive a bad shot. Anyways as long as you have distances and decent clothing, low power, cheap airsoft guns won't hurt. I honestly don't know about good quality airsoft as I don't play "formal" games I guess you could say. The highest quality gun I'm getting any time soon is a Well MP7.

I don't know airsoft, but I'll guess that that isn't to good a quality?

the MP7 I'm planning on getting is a $100 gun although I'm hopefully getting a slightly used one for about $60. Consider 300 FPS the hurting point for .12 g bbs, the lighter ones. It takes...I don't know whatever is the ratio of .12 to .20 for 300 if you get what I'm saying. I think it's about 240 FPS for .20 g bbs. Well the MP7 is fully automatic and shoots .20 g bbs at about 260 FPS I think it was or .12 (which aren't recommended) at like 320 or something I can't remember. In other words it's better than all of my guns lol.

Lol well then you should have understood that as it was basic math. Something heavier takes more force to move and therefore it moves slower with the same amount of force but seeing that it weighs more it still has about the same amount of momentum. Lol I guess that wa more physic based but yeah. Knowing extra stuff besides math helps me stay away from the land of geeks. I'm kind of on the boarder although thankfully I was able to stay with my friends and make it into a middle social group in HS lol.
