Whoah ! That's SPECIALIST application ! The usual method is to use a fluorescing plate, and scan the very low levels of light emitted from there with the imaging system.AFAIK, X-rays are too energetic to detect on a CCD without damaging them, unless they are megabuck devices from the likes of E2VAlso, there is a scale problem: Most CCD sensors are only 1/3rd or 1/2" across (8. .....12mm) - and you can't focus X-rays in a dental X ray unit.
