Do i need a driver for a MTHF1000-WN L.E.D.? Answered

I ordered this (MTHF1000-WN) L.E.D. from the Marktech website. Do I need a driver to properly use it? If yes, what is the cheapest and simplest option. If no, is there anything you recommend I do to get the most out of it?

The ideal power source would be a 12V wall wart.

A wall wart would work -- I'd recommend one that can be switched on/off at the high voltage side, as many can waste a lot of power when on, but not on.

That led needs a proper current driver. The awesome ible 'simple high power led driver' is perfect for this.

Remember to keep your power supply as CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the sum of the leds in the strand voltage. If you have 1, somewhere around 4. If you have 2, somewhere around 8 volts -- etc.
If you use a 12 volt supply for 1 3.7 volt led, you'll have to burn off 8.3 volts (2/3rds of the circuits power) as heat in the transistor.

Im thinking of using three in a strand but i'm not sure how i should connect them.

One driver per led and connect them in parallel? One driver for all in series? Or are there any ICs that can drive 3 on one chip?

I recommend a driver of some sort, the 350mA forward current, dropping voltage in an external resistor, will waste a LOT of power, as much as the LED itself takes.

I've been playing with the LTC3490, which is a very neat little part for driving 350mA LEDs
