Do you know a good laptop? Answered

I want a new laptop. Any suggestions? I am tech savvy, so I know what all the specs mean, I just need a pointer to which brands and models are quality ones. I am also on a budget. I don't work, so I just get allowance. Any help is accepted.

Ok, I got a new laptop. It is pretty much identical to my old one, and I think my old one just needed more ram, because my new one works great! The new laptop I got over summer break (between June and August), so it's nothing really new. Thank you for the suggestions! (PS My laptop is an HP Pavilion zd7000)

I just saw Dell - Alienware, and I was almost speechless seeing the laptop configuration. It is surely made for Aliens hehe

 Some, gmaing, some work, etc.
Gaming includes running emulators and ROMs (please refer to my Instructables), Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, etc. and work includes a little bit of school, internet, downloading, multimedia, etc.

For best price to performance, probably a dell or hp.

What exactly are you trying to do with the laptop? that will affect what you need to look for.

...when I see one!

HPs have gotten a bad rep lately but the one I have has been working for 2 or 2.5 years just fine for me.
