So far, WMP supports playing AVI files except FLV and MP4.
In order to play MP4 and FLV in WMP, you'd better to convert MP4 and FLV to WMP compatible formats.

Windows's Media Player can stream avi and mp4 files well, but it seems that it cant supports flv flash video, you should install k-codec or convert them.I always convert flv files to a more common file like mp4 to play on Windows Media Player.
