Dr. Who Birthday Cake Answered

This Dr. Who cake by Domestic Scientist with a flying Dalek is pretty freakin' awesome. It's clearly a labor of love and to make it even more awesome it doesn't even use fondant, but modeling chocolate. Check out the link for more info.

Oh my. I'm glad my daughter didn't see this. It was her birthday yesterday and she is absolutely mad about Dr Who. (we actually gave her a hand knitted jumper with the tardis on the front and a dalek on the back plus a hand knitted tardis plushie) If she had seen this, I would have been busy lol

Wow, an awesome looking cake, but does it taste good? Why many people judge cakes based on appearance, shouldn't the taste also be considered. Therefor it would be even better if it tasted like something out of Doctor Who.

Too bad the door doesn't work, so we could see if it really IS bigger on the inside then the outside LOL If you then ate it from the inside, out....you'd get more icing

This is SO cool and I'd love to make it for my bro's b-day which is this month but I don't see HOW to make it. I can make a cake but I don't know how to make it look like *that* and how to make modeling chocolate I can dump chocolate chips and corn syrup together but what measurements and temps? I clicked on your link but there is no 'instructions to the 'instructable' ...great idea...but how did you do it??? Thanks!
