Export Google SketchUp as just the faces and measurements? Answered

I made a simple chair in Google SkecthUp and wanted to make it out of cardboard(lot of time on my hands). I was wondering if their was a simple way to export all the faces and measurements in the .skp file?

Thanks to instructables member 'flightsofideas' you can export all selected faces with annotations to svg format, wether you have sketchup pro or not. You'll need the svg outline plugin. Check out the instructable from 'flightsofideas'!

You can't with free sketchup, all you can do is place dimension marks on various views of the object and print the Jpegs. In the pro version, you can export Autocad files.

A DXF file can be read in most all CAD systems, and it will exactly scale your model, so you have all the details you need to work with.

You've got the tools, try it ! There are loads of freeware 2D CAD drawing tools, any of them will open DXF.
