Final Wallet? Answered

Thank you for the guidance with the wallet. It was a very well explained and demonstrated. It feels good to accomplish something while learning. I tend to be an impatient sort so I'm taking deep breaths before I start on stitching. I've read it through a couple times now and getting ready to jump in with some scraps. I need to educate myself more on types of leather and understanding thickness better. Any suggestions? I'm also interested in finding better resources for hardware beside Amazon and Tandy. Thanks again.

Hi, understanding leather type and thickness is, in my experience, really something you have to get a feel for by working with the leather and shopping in person. Because there are so many different types of leather, it can be a bit unpredictable what the feel of any given piece will be. I do find veg tanned leather in general to be more consistent than chrome tanned, so if you are willing to do the work of dying and finishing your own pieces, you could try using that. For hardware I sometimes use buckleguy.com, they have a lot of good stuff :)
