Fixing Kodak EasyShare C653 Answered

I have a Kodak EasyShare C653 that was left outdoors for a few days. With new batteries in it, it won't work. When I turn it on, I just get the red light that normally indicates the battery is low. Any ideas on what it could be? The cost of repair is probably more than the camera itself. Thanks!

Same trick as with wet mobile phones.
Take a bowl of riceremove the batteries, cover the camera in rice & leave for a couple of days.
It worked a treat on a Lumix camera a friend of mine left outside for a week a couple of years ago.

First you might read the shutter trigger article on disassembly. Then dry out the innards with a little alcohol, followed by a hair dryer on warm.
