GAS DRYER WON'T SHUT OFF! Answered

I HAD TO REPLACE INGNITER.AND WHILE CHECKING CONTINUITY I THINK I MIGHT HAVE SWITCHED UP SOME WIRES BECAUSE NOW IT DOESN'T SHUT OFF. I REPLACED TIMER BUT STILL WONT SHUT OFF. ( MAYTAG SDG505DAWW)

Of course it has a plug. The gas only runs the burner. Electricity runs the drum, timer, gas valve etc. There will be a gas shutoff where it connects to the gas line at the wall. Close that. Don't disconnect any hoses.

Look at it logically. Is it still running completely ? Is only the burner lit ? Is it just turning ?

Hard to diagnose except by going through the whole thing with a wiring diagram and a continuity meter...
