Glassphemy lets you recycle and have fun smashing bottles at the same time Answered

Glassphemy is a large clear box made by Macro Sea where people can smash their bottles for recycling. Thanks to some bullet-proof Lexan panels, others can watch the action from right behind the smash zone. It's a great way to get rid of some stress and break up bottles for reuse.

Heck, I do that anyway...I don't know about other places, but Shawnee County recycling sets out dumpsters at recycling centers, and a good throw of a heavy peanut butter jar can make a nice three- or four-jar explosion of glass splinters.

The collectors refuse to take it broken here....some safety reason or something....but once they toss it into the truck, it breaks.  Go figure, eh?

because they want to have the fun :P

They just dump the bins into the truck, but I guess they fear cutting themselves of any broken glass were protruding from the bin....

Recycling=fun? Who would've thought... I wish people tried harder to do this with homework.

I've noticed that dropping a bottle, even from about two feet, on the drinking end will break it. I guess it must be the weakest point.

This is Glassphemy, this is madness

Shoving the jars and bottles into the bottle bank as hard as possible; practically a national past time. But making them out of Lexan, that would be quite cool.

Destruction is a natural part of of things (e.g. it's Shiva) good link.
