Hand cranked mixer Answered

hi all, i have a question, i found this great mixer http://www.cottagecraftworks.com/off-grid-hand-crank-mixer-food-processor

but i live in europe and shipping cost will be over the top, and the product already cost alot

i seen some great inventions here, is there someone who can make this or explain how to make this?

frequently, the item you see marketed is several iterations after the 1st concept. I like Ben1's idea of finding a motorized mixer and adding a crank. I little knowledge of gearboxes will help. an electric motor spins very fast, so you'll need to either gear up your crank, or remove gearing that slows down the motor speed. or both.

There are a number of hand cranked mixers around you just need to google it, this thing has been on tv its got a rope pull just like a lawn mower.

That little dutch maid mixer looks like it would be worth the money, built by Armish its something that will last forever, and you can give the great grand kids one day.

You could get a broken or unbroken electric mixer, take out the motor, and add a crank

That's neat. I wonder how difficult it is to clean. It's so expensive.
