Has anyone made anything similar to this? Is there a guide around I can follow to make it? Answered

I just wanted to know if anyone has made anything similar to this. I wanted to buy it as a gift but its a bit to expensive on etsy and I figure it can't be too complicated.

Edit: sorry forgot the link... basically something like this

The electric clock mechanisms and hands are easily available for under $1. The turn table you may find scrap these days. Anything else as Burf says:

I haven't made one but it looks rather easy to do:

Gut everything from the bottom side

Epoxy the tone arm, the turntable and a record into place on the topside

Buy a battery powered clock work with large hands at a hobby store ($5 to $10 U.S.)

Install the clock work from the back (you may need to drill out the spindle hole slightly larger)

Install the hands and a battery

Set the time and hang it in a suitable place

One to two hours to complete.
