Has anyone made bamboo wind turbine blades? Answered

I started a set of simple bamboo wind turbine blades today. I'm using instructions for PVC pipe blades. This involves slicing up a plastic pipe (vinyl chloride is carcinogenic) but large bamboo is similar to a pipe and I've got some so why not try this natural material. If you have done this before, please share some insight :) To my knowledge nobody else has posted about this and all I've found online about bamboo blades is from large scale commercial turbines.

I'll answer my own question here. It's really easy to make these, really easy!

The answer is yes and they work fine. These bamboo blades are 4 feet long and span about 2.2 nodes. They spin much more readily than the smaller set I made previously.

Plus the instructable for these is here:
https://www.instructables.com/id/Wind-Turbine-Blades-from-Bamboo/
I don't know of anyone who has done this beyond a few large-scale startups (who haven't written up much in detail). Best of luck!

Here is the first blade. I wanted it to be longer. Can anyone suggest a way to make longer blades from a 10 cm wide tube?

Yesterday I built 4 PVC blades, and, when finished, I saw a bunch of 3m long and almost 15cm diameter..... Then I realized the same that You : why not bamboo!!!??? I think It will be a lot of overweight, an a lot of work to do them....but...why not bamboo!!!?? I think You can make them as long as the distance between kots....at least, they do so when building fishing rods...It seems that knots are kind of a "failure point" It gives Us some 50....60 cm blades. If knots were not an issue.....perhaps I would risk 1m or 1,20 m long blades.that's not bad!

Here is the first rough assembly. It spins in front of a fan!
