How I can generate 400-450 volts from a flyback transformer? Answered

I want to charge a capacitor bank of 400-450 volts (I am not decided, yet) and I want to use a flyback transformer, I want to use a input voltage from 9-12vdc. A recomendation of a flyback transformer that I can use or some schematics would be great.
Thanks

Do you know how to click the best answer ?
If you do then here is a link to a $3 device to generate 400VAC
from 5Votls.

Nope.

Flybacks are designed to output tens of thousands of volts (definitely not a beginner project) from only a few, and unless you can supply it with a few millivolts, you're not even going to come close to 400. In short, pretty much anything you do with the flyback would blow up your caps.

BTW, whats the capacitance of your caps?

What do you plan to power with such a tiny bank?

Unless you want to fling metal dust particles 5 feet or less, you will need much, much more energy, think 25+ electrolytic caps the size of pop cans and you're approaching the scale of something that will puncture a full pop can or two.

Why do these types of questions worry me. As a generality, IF you have to ask such a question - at this time you more than likely don't know enough to perform the experiment.

A throw away flash camera can supply 300 or more VDC, also dangerous !

It is possible to put two camera electronics in series with limiting circuitry
to reach the desired 450 VDC.
