How can I add two identical laptop chargers in series to increase voltage? Answered

I want to add only ONE charger in power socket, but I want to add the other one that is identical to first one in series to double the voltage.
I don't know how to do it, can you explain it detailed to me.

Both chargers in the plug, connect negative from one to positive from the other, the remaining contacts will give you twice the voltage.

That assumes that the supply floats though.

Cut the end off both the plug ends and splice them into one plug then shrink tube it to seal it. If you want the single plug it won't hurt anything

To add to this on the Laptop charger you should have a symbol that shows which lead is positive and which is negative. The one that is on the outside is the outside metal. the inside is the hole or pin in the center of the connector.

Just so you know it would be a bad idea to plug it into your computer after you have doubled the voltage. Might even get some of that fun smoke.

Looks like it's going to be used for a variable power supply.
