How do I "Wrap'' around this one? Answered

I want to make a paper mache phantump.(Phantump is a Pokemon !) Phantump has horns on its head , and its head is like a stump. I don't know how I'm going to make the skeleton of my phantump , or how I'm going rap the paper mache around the head and the horns without breaking it .

Hi! Ok, I looked up picture of this phantump. I think it is definitely possible to make this out of paper mache. Are you planning to make the whole body and head, or just the head? I'd suggest that you read through the first few lessons to get an idea of how this all works. I think you'll see that building a skeleton for this will be pretty easy.

What I would suggest is that you paper mache over a balloon or a bowl to create the head. Remove the balloon or bowl and cut the top off to create the open head shape. Use some stiff but bendable wire wrapped in crumpled newspaper and masking tape to create a rough skeleton for the body and the part that sticks up though the top of the head as one long piece. Then use the same technique to create skeletons for the two horns, leaving wire sticking out the large ends. Cut a hole in the bottom of the head for the body and a hole on each side for the horns. Stick the body through the bottom of the head so the pointy bit sticks out the top, then stick the horns through the holes in the sides of the head and attach them to the body with the extra wire. Then paper mache over the whole thing, adding details and stuff. If this doesn't make sense I can draw it for you.

I'm not sure what you mean about the paper mache breaking. When you are wrapping around complex shapes, you sometimes have to use thinner strips, and you have to angle your strips the right way so they lay flat, but it's totally possible. I hope this helps :)
