How do I see how many votes my instructable has for a contest? Answered

So I'm entered in the April fools day project: prank contest with my ible www.instructables.com/id/April-fools-joke-Melting-popsicle-paperweight/ and I was wondering how many votes I have received.

I know that people who have voted for you can view the number but since it is considered "not fair play" to vote for your own ible I won't do that.

So my question is how many votes do I have en where can I see it?

Also does a vote for your own ible count or not? (I read somewhere that that vote just doesn't get count)

I don't believe there is a way to find out exactly how many votes you got, but you can see how many votes it has received compared to the others.  Go to the contest page, click on the "view all" link and then on the next page select "sort by votes" on the pulldown.  (Or just click here.)  It appears you're number 2 at the moment--Well done!

(Note that you don't need to be #1 in popular voting to win. Popular voting just narrows down the choices for the judging.  As far as I know.  I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.)

Just curious, about how many votes does a winning instructable typically get? Is it as low as 20, or does it get into the hundreds?

where. Is the option for this sort by votes

That's a seven year old comment - they've found since then that contests run more smoothly if votes are invisible.

Thank you both.

I selected Grathio as the best one because he has a little less best answers then kiteman (41-160)

I also found how you can view your votes. I pm'd Noahw about it and he said that if you vote for yourself (when in your ible) you get to see the number of votes on the left. It's a bug of sort because when you close it and want to check again you won't see it. But you can redo it by unvoting and revoting.
