How do they make plastic grooves for screws
This is something that is very common in most of today's assembled plastic items, engineers somehow get a metal screw to hold the plastic body of an item together. So, how do they create the groove in the plastic for the screw? .. is the groove shaped along with the plastic? is it a drill bit?... does anybody know?
Often the molded holes are simply smooth-sided holes, and when the screws are driven in they cut their own threads into the plastic.

Those are tapped holes.
