How do you do a square root in Windows Calculator when in scientific mode? Answered

Is it just me, or is it impossible to do a square root in Windows calculator when you got it in scientific mode?

For Windows 10 the function is available, it looks somewhat like a tick rather than a square root symbol. As for other versions of windows, refer to Terry and Dennis' advice.

To apply square Root use '@' Shift+2

You can click x^y then 0.5 and you'll get the square root.

You have to switch between standard and scientific. Help tells you how to take the number back and forth.
