Websearch "accordion FAQ", which will point you to many other useful documents... or try asking on the rec.music.squeezebox newsgroup.

Personal recommendation: Either get an instruction book, or get lessons, or just experiement with it until you figure out how to make it do what you want it to do. Or some combination thereof.

Sorta like a harmonica. As I recall (I do not play myself) they produce a different set of tones when the bellows is compressed versus expanded. Other than that you're on your own. I hain't no idee-er

Hit it repeatedly with a banjo.  It's the best music either one of them will can make.

Press keys while expanding or collapsing the bellows to force air through the sound-making reeds.
