How do you remove a decal from polyester? Answered

The decal is printed on a 100% polyester fleece/mesh facemask, and appears to have been ironed on or printed. It is in an awkward location, and I would like to remove it without damaging/marking the surrounding fabric. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You probably won't be able to remove it without damaging the fabric.  It's put on there pretty well and was meant to stay thru a considerable number of washings.  If water would remove it, it would come off in the rain or the first time it was washed.  If it's screen print the the "paint" actually is bonded to the material and won't come off.

If it's a stick on that you have a chance that it might peel off.  Use heat from a hot air gun to soften the glue and slowly peel it off.   Even this is going to leave a glue residue and stretch out the fabric some.

diulent only, if warm water doesn't help.
