Super glue would work great but you'll have to align the pieces perfectly first touch. It's hard to be perfect, been there done that.

Plain white glue would also work fine but you'll have to hold or clamp the pieces together.

Be careful that you get them in the right order and don't end up with a puzzle piece that can't be put in.

+1. superglue can be used as a 'wicking' glue, align the pieces and just tack them and the glue should flow into the more porous surface inside -- reinforce from the inside after a piece is laid.

super glue it then cover it with like wax so it's smoth
