Run your anti-virus and scan and remove any infections. If you don't have an anti-virus, you can get a free scan HERE:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
I believe Norton and Symantec also offer free scans.
If you need a free anti-virus, Avast is a good one and there are others available as well.
Open Google and start searching.

He said its Ubuntu. That severally decreases the number of anti-virus programs avalible. I believe there is a free one that comes with Ubuntu, or if it isn't pre-installed, it's easy to find in the software center. The name escapes me at the moment.

But I don't think it's a virus. That is a standard message. Try reinstalling the program and see if that fixes it.

Good luck! :)

a linux virus?,very suspect on that one, check Synaptic and see if there is an updated PPA for chrome available. In all honesty as good as Ubuntu is sometimes programs written for Linux dont always work 100% all the time,it might be a Kernal issue has it been updated recently from the update manager?.Your best bet if all else fails go to the Ubuntu forums.

Good Luck

That IS a standard Google Chrome message. The reason you are getting this may be hard to determine. First thing I'd do is restart your computer. Then reinstall chrome. Then see what happens.

Google "Whoa! Google Chrome" for more ideas.
