A shaped explosion will join most differing metals into a gas tight joint !

I worked on a British Stainless steel project once where they were making beer barrels From a sheet of Stainless steel by using explosives!

Once the project was proven they were going to go over to hydraulic power. Exciting stuff.

FYI... When you type in all caps it is perceived as yelling. So there is no need to yell at us. ;)

You don't say how strong the bond needs to be. Wax would "work"

Rivet,
Glue
weld (tricky)
Whip with cord or wire
Fold the edges of the aluminium over the steel.

By the way your likely to get corrosion between the steel and aluminium.
