I'm leaving Answered

I'm leaving. But only for two weeks. I'm going back home to Minnesota. I'm not sure if I'll have internet access, but either way it will be greatly reduced. See you all in 2 weeks!

Nah, he's not really that important that people will freak out in less than a month. People will causally wonder where he went, but unless he's been gone for more than 2 months, no threads.....comments maybe...but no threads

I'm "back home" in Texas right now =D

I picked up a "satellite internet" type thing for my laptop, got a plan through Verizon. The plan comes with a 30-day free trial and you can cancel your plan before the trial's up w/o paying for the cancellation fee or anything!

And the actual adapter was $50 up front (on sale), with a $50 mail-in rebate. So the whole thing was free for us =D

The reception itself is pretty good. The speed is slightly slower than our regular at-home connection, but still alright. We get a good signal here, too, and Verizon is supposed to cover a good amount of the US.

Don't forget your XP CDs up there...
