I'm leaving, and this time for real. Answered

But only for a week.Gotcha!

We're off on holiday tomorrow (Saturday 24th, UK calender) for a week in Whitby - fossils on the beaches, jet in the shops, Dracula's landfall, but no internet at all.

Be good, don't break anything, and if the Instructables TV show gets off the ground in the next seven days, remember that I called dibs on the presenter slot.

There's not a lot of need or point in replying to this thread (since I'm not going to be reading it until I'm back), I'm really just letting you know so nobody panics...where's Kiteman? It's all gone quiet, the post rate is down, our spelling is falling apart, the woowoo brigade are taking over...

I'm back! It was a great time, over 700 photos (I may show you some later). Steam trains, scenery, pirates, the Abbey, proper chips, plus I dug up a couple of nice belemnites and #1 Son found a fossil horse tooth. It's midnight now, though - goodnight, all, talk to you tomorrow.

I love the abbey there. Few too many steps though.

199 of them, and #2 son ran all the way up. He also ran up the steep little road beside the steps (this is him dashing off ahead, then waiting at the top):

I wonder why 199... maybe to make people think they'd mis-counted, perhaps? The abbey is fantastic- a friend from university had her wedding there and I absolutely see why (although it's not the best terrain for women in non-sensible shoes >_<). Hell of a drive from down south, though.

That's why you have yet to flame on the Why global warming doesn't work thread. We'll be waiting when you get back for your evaluation.

Well, if you can't find it, Here's the link for when you get back. Some guy named Kentjoe posted it.

Have fun!

What's odd is how new people found the "debate" even when (for reasons I fail to understand) it stopped showing up on the forum index. Conspiracy? No, surely not...
