Actually, thats a pretty small price considering how big this site is. I would think its worth alot more than that market value.

It looks delicious. If your wife doesn't like it, then she's heartless. She'll appreciate it after when you tell her that it had razorblades in it.

A couple of weeks ago I said 1 million $ was small money. See this link for some big money acquisitions (that the author rates as the ten worst internet purchases, so far.)

A million $ is pretty small money these days. The valuation seems to be computer generated from various statistics. In real terms you've got: potential advertising revenue, merchandising, a brand, an online community... hmm.

Anything is only worth what someone is willing and able to pay for it (at that moment).

Still, You don't have a million dollars just sitting in your back pocket do you?

I don't but it's peanuts to a lot of people (even in this economic climate).

I'd pay 5, maybe 7 dollars for Instructables. But I'm sure someone would pay $1 million for it, there may even be someone who'd pay $5 million for it.

You to put a cash value on ibles? In this financial climate?

(As with anything, Instructables is only worth what somebody will actually pay - if you won a million on the lottery, just as the site came up for sale, would you buy the site?)

I only put it up because I found that website on a Google search.... I wouldn't buy the site because I think Eric and the rest of the team are great at managing it, It would just fall apart in my hands....
