Instructables junkie, are you one? Know the signs. Answered

Are you an Instructables junkie? (if you or a friend/loved one apply to 3 or more of these, please indicate it so that we may be enablers to your self destructive/constructive behaviors. Please be honest)
If I feel nice, I might make a personalized I'bles member card for those who ask(domindude10).

Symptoms include:
- Spending more then 5 straight hours on the site
- Commenting excessively
- PMing excessively
- Trying way to hard for any patches you can find, no matter how lame they are
- Replying to all your comments, within less than 15 minutes of comment being posted
- Posting the most unrelated stuff to the subject at hand
- Neglecting things in the real world that are more important then your attention-seeking behavior here, like homework, or your job
- Complaining about things that aren't worth anyone's breath or time
- Making many I'bles solely for contest entries
- Using terms like I'bles, 'able, OB, O-board, (more to be amended)
- Making excessive forum topics
- Those who post *some* things Knex (like guns. its not all bad, the ramp stuff is cool)

- You roam the Instructables chatroom (meaning you are more than just a casual user)
sub-note - you also troll the I'bles IRC much more then necessary

- You have lots of partial projects lying around the house, but not being able to prioritize them because they are all so equally Instructableizeable(or you lack the funds to finish them(possibly from your lack of attention to the real world)).

- Your response to pretty much everything that happens around you is "That would make a good Instructable."

- Your first choice of a search engine is Instructables and not Google, even when you're not searching instructions.

- You pressure everyone you know to join/submit Instructables/use them.

- You brag to no end to everyone about how cool Instructables is and how it is your whole online life (possibly real life too)

- Asking yourself, "What would Kiteman do?"

- Praising the robot or Eric whenever it is totally unnecessary.
(list to be amended with new whore attributes when they are identified)

...hi, guys. Nice to meet you.

For symptoms: how about having a folder full of Instructables you keep meaning to get to? Or a recipe book that is pretty much entirely from instructables?

Or how about having a bunch of projects you otherwise never would have made, regardless of how much hassle they are?

Ooh, good call Kubuntu (my folder is mainly the ibles site, since that's where I'll remember them, kindof like cloud storage almost)

LOL!!

How about stay up till 3am your time, just to insure your I'ble gets in under the dead line... only to read it, first thing the next morning (yes getting up first thing the next morning to check it) & realize how many mistakes you made in your bleary haze?

Or seeing how many days in a row you can wear your hard earned robot t-shirt?

Or obsessing about making robot paper toys?

Sigh.... I'm now afraid! very afraid!

Same here, isn't that just a bit sad? I wish I had more EE/ME maker types that I could hang out with (then I might actually get off my lazy butt and HAVE a life)

I have found that I am guilty of doing this also but have been trying to work on several  unfinished projects before starting a new one.  It helps some.

Haha yes, that is true, I hoard in loads of 'junk' from the skips until my shed was almost like an organized landfill!

But those days are over, my family moved and I got college now, all my junk is till in boxes... :(

And that was no problem for the samples ibles, I just whipped it up thinking it might help other people, which it did... :D

May I proffer another sign?
- You search Instructables for solutions to real-world problems.

I'm ALWAYS doing this: like if I wanna connect device A to microcontroller B I'll search for an 'Ible to see if someone here did it :P

Does it count if my current maker goal is to build an Arduino-controlled K'nex gun that shoots magnetic LED throwies at an Altoids tin, which triggers a reed switch to complete a circuit to drop a PCB into an etching tank, causing a copper trace shaped like Robot to appear?

Good lord man! You have devised what could, quite posibly, be the most  epic rube goldberg device to date! You must construct this device immediately and tell me about it!

I am a junkie I think
My girlfriend hates how much I talk about -ibles.
I disassemble every broken thing I can find in order to try to find a good fix to make an -ible.
I would have more -ibles than I care to count, were it not for college, work and broken camera :(
do I qualify?
